Dataloft has been commissioned by the GLA on a couple of projects to provide data and analysis as part of their evidence base to help inform policy decisions.

Borough rental market analysis

The GLA Build to Rent/PRS housing and land team work on the evidence base for GLA housing policy and produce the annual London Housing Market report. They commissioned Dataloft to produce a detailed compendium of facts about the London rental market based on our DRMA dataset of rents achieved and renter demographics.

For each borough we provided detailed analysis of rental values and activity levels with a breakdown by quartile, as well as a profile of renter demographics covering income, age, employment and migration patterns over a 5-year period.

Defining and measuring empty and under-utilised dwellings in London

This report was undertaken for the GLA in conjunction with the University of Liverpool. It was commissioned to address the issue of empty homes in London and to develop a model for differentiating between types of empty and under-utilised homes, and quantifying them.
